Post Commentary help

Hi guys i am attempting to make a review of Mario Kart 8 and it would be better if i recorded gameplay and then add post Commentary. The stuff i use to record is elgato game capture hd and my microphones the blue yeti. Could you guys help is Sony vegas good for post Commentary.

Sony Vegas has a built-in recording function, I sometimes use it as well.
