Hey guys, first of all HUGE thanks to all of you who have been replying to the many threads I keep posting with questions, it really has meant a lot and I appreciate it soooo much :D Love Yttalk people!

Now on to business! ^^ I have been noticing that when I am making my videos, I have certain people that are wanting me to make chill videos of me talking about my life & such, and then others who want me to make more useful videos to help them feel happier and de-stress.

I wanted to get your opinion: what kinds of things do you think I can do to meet my audience's desires? I don't have a huge audience, probably about 40 ish people in total that watch my videos, but as of recently this has been something that has come up.

Well it just shows that they have interest in you! so if they wanna hear about your life then let them in a bit!

The problem I am having though is finding a balance between helping ppl de-stress/feel happier, and making life updates because some people want more life updates while other want more destressing vids :S

Any thoughts?
 
well what i do is just film some random things going on in my life my audience seem to appreciate just seeing me with my family and chilling out. its something different from what they see on my main channel. little things like that go along way

This is going to happen a lot as you grow. As you get more followers you are going to get even MORE diverse requests for videos! Best thing to do is in one of your videos talk about a few different projects you've been thinking of that YOU'D like to do. Then tell your viewers to reply in the comments with the projects they find most interesting. Tell them to thumbs up the comment with the project mentioned they like the most, and the comments with the most thumbs up will help you determine which new project you want to do out of the bunch. This is the perfect combination of doing what the majority of your audience wants, and also making sure it's something YOU want to do at the same time!

Obviously this is going to be hard to do with about 40 followers since not everyone will leave a comment or even thumbs up a comment, but it's about the best method I've found to do the videos I want, but also gauge my audience's desire for a specific idea before I spend the time to properly develop it and create videos on it.

That is some phenomenal advice, huge thanks to you my friend =) With 40 followers there's no doubt it's hard, so I think what I will do is do my best to gauge what interests them by looking at things like audience retention, # of video likes, etc and keep; trucking along. That being said, I am going to be sure to start doing what you suggested because even if nobody replies all the time, you never know unless you give it a shot.
