PLEASE HELP! Storyful has offered to distribute our video -legit?!

Hi - we are a small channel and just received a message from storyful wanting to acquire the rights to (seemingly) one of our videos they think has viral potential. has anyone worked with storyful before? it seems almost too good to be true but they have over a billion views....is this a scam?! This would help our channel soo much please let me know if anyone has knowledge or experience with them!!

No, Storyful is not a scam. Their business model revolves around acquiring rights to viral content and then selling/distributing the video to their business partners (usually news agencies and other media platforms). Be sure to read the contract carefully (I'd honestly let a legal adviser look at it) because you will be giving them to some (if not all) rights to the video. Be sure to ask what kind of deal they are willing to give you (ie a portion of the revenue made from their licensing, an upfront payment, etc).
