Playlist question

You see what I did there?
If I create a playlist but ONLY put unlisted videos in that list, but then post a link to the entire playlist itself, will people be able to see them? My goal is to post quite a few videos at once, but not to overwhelm my subscribers with a bunch of older videos in their sub box.
 
have you tried it? from my understanding, unlisted videos are not seen publicly unless with an actual link to the video. for it to show up on a playlist is something i've never heard about or tried before.
 
I don't know if you can put them in a playlist, but if you can put them in one, they won't be visible. It may be that people looking at your channel can see an empty playlist, or they won't be able to see the playlist at all. If a video is unlisted, there's no way for it to be seen without the link.
 
Yes...if you have every video unlisted in a playlist but share the playlist people will be able to watch the videos. Also unlisted videos show up on the normal uploaded playlist. That's another reason why I don't use my normal Uploaded Playlist...I created my own uploaded playlist so people don't see my unlisted videos when I have them up on my channel.

Unlisted videos show up in the normal uploaded playlist? That's ridiculous - I thought unlisted just meant unlisted.

Great! I have a ton of old videos from 2010 that I want to post, but the last thing I want to do is spam the hell out of my subscribers.

Your right it only shows up for the owner of the channel. I always thought other people could

Make a playlist and put an unlisted video in it and post it here. We will tell you if that works but from what I just did I don't think it will.
