Plateau? Slow growth?

Have a question about maybe plateauing? Or slow growth?

So I uploaded my last Vlog about 3-4 days ago and I realized that my more recent vids haven’t grown in views like my others have. Granted I don’t have many videos up and maybe I’m just being paranoid or impatient, but do you guys think there’s something I’m doing wrong? Or just keep with the content?

Hey Ronnie!
If growth is what you're interested in , then I'd suggest working on providing more entertainment value to your content to engage people. The average viewer doesn't want to watch vlogs of some random person talking about their day and chilling at the air port. if you already have established a loyal audience, you can get away with that but otherwise, vlogs where you walk around and go out to dinner aren't gonna win people over.

Your videos are all centered on you, which your family and friends may find interesting. But as a complete stranger with access to all kinds of crazy videos on youtube I could watch, why would I choose to watch you talk about yourself or see what an average day in your life is like unless you are Beyonce?

What are you passionate about? Make videos less focused on yourself and more focused on your interests, doing that could attract an audience of viewers who share those similar interests who later on may care enough to get to know you on a personal level, and then you can do the QnAs and random vlogs.

I'd also suggest learning about improv and comedy to improve your presence on camera. Take Liza Koshy or Shane Dawson for example, they have the ability to improvise and add hilarious commentary to literally any situation. Liza Koshy will do vlogs where she just shops at target and yet she gets millions of views because she has the ability to keep her viewers engaged by using humor and showing off her energetic personality.

I am not an expert or an experienced youtuber, but as a viewer who is completely neural, that is my opinion on what could be worked on to make your channel more appealing. Hope I didn't sound like a downer, you seem like you have a really cool and upbeat personality.

Keep it up and I hope you meet your goals.

Joseph

I took a quick look at your channel; one month in and with seven videos published it's far too early to say whether your growth is fast, slow, or if you are plateauing. It's difficult I know, but ideally you should stop worrying about your analytics for now and focus on producing quality videos regularly. Enjoy yourself, have fun, experiment with different styles and techniques, and then when you have good archive of content you can see what works and will help your channel to grow...and what to avoid.

Hi Ronnie!! It would be a VERY good idea for you to work with things like entertainment value and getting more people engaged (like mentioned in quote). Besides that I would say that it´s way to early to say anything about growth yet (based on my brief look on your channel). My advice would be to make good videos (entertaning engaging) and just keep on grinding like the rest of us:) Best of luck to you

Agreed with the previous answers saying to add things like entertainment value to get more people engaged. It's very important to include your audience & build a community through your channel. Like how you watch your fav channels, what do you enjoy about them? what makes you comment & engage on their channel? :)

I think it is a bit early to tell how well your channel will do. For most of us here it is too early to tell how we will do. My advice for vlogging is to not make it entirely about yourself and to make the trimming feature in most editting softwares your best friend. Clip out most of the fat (dead space) and only leave in the good bits. Make sure you feature what's going on around you and the people around you. Life has so much to offer and it's cool to see how different people handle different things in day to day life.
