Photo Manipulation Fantasy Ideas?

So I am one of the chosen people who'll be representing our school at an art contest with hundred of participants from school all over our city. so the theme we'll be using is philippine fantasy: rising above. So I want help and get some ideas/suggestions from you guys. Like for example, A kid reading a book and the creatures went out of the book or something like that. or fantasy creatures going up the stairs reaching for something and so on. thanks!

Or what if... There is A kid being bullied and they have knocked his books to the ground.. and All the fantasy Creatures from the books are coming out to defend the kid.. Kinda like saying reading and being smart and creative will one day make you more powerful than the brute..
