Personal Photo or Logo?

I Love YTtalk
Currently I'm using a logo I made way back when I began this channel, it's fairly simple but quite effective I think and I've not had any negative feedback on it so far.

However, I'm just wondering if a photo of myself would be better than using this logo on YouTube? Certainly on Twitter I use my personal photo and as my main channel is about vlogging, would it make more sense and perhaps appeal to more people or should I stick with the logo?

I think a photo as an avatar for a vlogger is quite an effective practice but if its a horrible photo that may not be good. I can tell just by a quick look your twitter photo is definitely over exposed and as a vlogger who is generally expected to have some camera know how its probably not the brightest idea to show a photo like that off.

Aha, yeah, my friend took that photo.. it was in Nando's I think. It's not too bad though, I've seen a lot worse and the Twitter one is just there because it looks nice because I'm smiling I guess :p I'll work on getting a new photo soon, I've got an idea for one but that won't happen until the middle of next month.

Keep The logo man although you could always mess around with a fe new designs maybe you could come up with something new or better
 
I've never particularly liked photos on early starting out channels as to me it looks like a personal YouTube user only watching videos not creating.
 
I still don't know what to do for mine. I THINK I'm going to go with the logo... only because I do not feel as if my channel is really about "me".
 
From looking at your videos, it looks to me like you're in them a lot so I believe that having a nice photo of you as your display picture would be more suitable. Looks like my advice clashes with other people's in here though haha
