Partnership Pickle...

Hey guys, I'm in a real metaphorical pickle. It's been my dream to become a Partner for years now and three months ago I got scouted by TGN. Obviously I accepted since It's been my dream, I didn't really give it much thought to be honest. I just got the message and accepted :/ but now, three months later I'm not sure if I want to do it. It just seems like I'm uploading to YouTube now because I have to rather than uploading purely for fun..

So the pickle is, should I disconnect from TGN so I can have more fun or should I just keep being with them and see if I still wanna be a part of it .-.

I don't really know what I'm expecting by posting this I guess I just wanted to write it down and get it out y'know?.

Do they force you to upload or something? Honestly I'm with Fullscreen and I only deal with them when I have questions or concerns, plus I get to use their tools. To me I still upload for fun, plus I make some side money. I may try a different network once my contract is up, I've been trying to contact Viral Spiral the past few days to ask them questions, no response though. The only thing I don't like about Viral Spiral is that when they contacted me, they said it's a 3 year contract.

Go where your heart is telling you to go. If its not something that is having a huge positive impact on you then disconnect IMHO. If it is good for your channel though, try and stick it out and come out with a better channel

Do they have some requirement per month on uploads which makes it feel more like a "have to" thing then a "want to"?

It's about what makes you happy.

Why does everyone think that partnering your channel means you HAVE to post material. I have channels partnered that I haven't uploaded a video to since 2009. You do what you want to. As for TGN, I think you could have done much better. It's gone to poop since George left. I was with them for a few months and wasn't too happy.

You on the other hand are locked in for the rest of your contract. So you are required to stick to it.

Also why can't you post to youtube for fun and be partnered?[DOUBLEPOST=1389126252,1389126215][/DOUBLEPOST]

No they don't. Only rule is no copyrighted material.

Ah three year contact? Ouch. I think when the guy contacted he said it was like a standard three month contract which is really good y'know? not sure though. My memory is really bad but I think it said on the site something like if I don't do so and so then I'd be disconnected or something. I was actually looking at the RPM Network thing and it just seems like a really good partnership. But the thing is that there's a lot of stuff going on and I haven't been able to upload properly for quite a while and won't be able to for a few months[DOUBLEPOST=1389126660,1389126478][/DOUBLEPOST]Why don't I partner with YouTube directly? tbh I don't know. I'd just prefer not to.[DOUBLEPOST=1389127313][/DOUBLEPOST]@PressRecord as I said earlier the contract was for three months I think so I should be done actually. I suppose now It's just a matter of doing what makes me happy as @Vgamelp said and to go to where my heart is telling me to go as @TheTacomaKing said :3

The unfortunate truth is that this does become a job at some point. I have uploaded 3-7 videos a week for over a year now and it's tough at times. I love it and it's fun, but it is a job. Everyone gets the feeling that they want to drop off. For me it's about every 2 months. I get writers block and can't figure out what to do, but I get through it.
If you are getting bored, change it up a bit. Helps me. :)

If you don't opt out 30 days prior you will be locked in for an extra contract period.
