Partner without monetisation?

Hey guys, just got a small question here. Was fooling about with Youtube options here and monetized my account by accident, heh. Got those custom thumbnails like the next second, quite exciting :O. Here's the question though, is it even allowed to enable the channel for monetisation but not actually monetize any videos at all, just to get some of those YT features? I didn't find anything official on this matter.

well you can choose to whether or not to monetize a video with every upload, but the only feature i believe you'll get is the custom thumbnails...
 
it doesnt matter at all.. you dont have to monetize your videos.. its just an option youtube gives everyone so they can make money off your videos.. its up to you to actually use it

You've enabled monetization but without a linked AdSense account you're not actually earning anything. How did you get custom thumbs so quickly, I wonder? I have read on YouTube's guidelines it takes 30 days of good standing (unless your channel is over a month old in which case never mind lol).

I do the same. I have gaming vids so can't actually monetize un-networked, but it allows me the features without breaking the rules :)

My channel is like 6 months old, lol. That's probably the reason why I got it the same minute I've activated monetization hehe.
