Paid Software Downloads for Free?!

Hey I was wondering if when people make videos about how to get cracked or free programs can they monetize the vid? Like they will say that its for educational purposes and that its only to try it out then you can buy it but are they allowed to do that?
 
This has been brought up before on this forum. My recollection is that it is against YouTube's Terms Of Service and your account can be closed. Claiming "educational purposes" will not help you.
 
This was recently uploaded by Google Adsense. They are mainly talking about websites but when you use YouTube and have Adsense ads displayed, I'm sure the same rules apply. I'm sure YouTube has specific rules regarding promoting illegally downloaded copyrighted material as well.

I'm pretty sure it's not allowed. If you want to test out software before you buy it you can download the trail version which pretty much every big and small software company do now.
