Overlay the Green Background

XiaoK

I Love YTtalk
I found out many of the Twitch streamer are doing this, merging their camera actual background with the game background. All I know is they have a green background in their home, but how to do that? If I would like to record gameplay footage and append my camera (like other gamers in Youtube), how to do edit that?

If you have a decent video editing software it will have either green screen or chroma key setting which wil allow you to playback another video/content instead of the gree screen / selected color.

I assume doing this on the fly requires a bit more software, but that I don't have any knowledge of.

alright I'll wait for more detail answers

If you have greenscreen behind you, you can "delete" (color key) this color from your footage. You can do that in Vegas/Premiere, or even in OBS.

I have heard that ULead software can do that.
but can it get high quality output?[DOUBLEPOST=1413528786,1413528225][/DOUBLEPOST]

If they do it on Twitch, they're likely using a paid version of Wirecast which has a live Chroma Key feature.
xsplit can also do it right?

I'm not experienced with XSplit enough to say since I do not own a paid version of the software. I would check with the feature list on their website.
