Im not asking for much. I am just trying to figure out why I am struggling to get my videos placed in front of people. If someone could help me and give me tips on what I could be doing wrong. I am not sure if it is my channel art, my thumbnails, my video names, or what it is. I feel like I am fairly organized on my channel I just can figure out how to get it in front of people. Thanks, imma try to help some other people on this forum.

Hi here comes your bit of tough love.
-Horrible thumb nails, stop copying he same thumb over and over
-Stop doing lets plays, if youre gonna do them simply use them a fodder
-Youre voice is boring, youre too quiet , force youreself to be happier iven thogh is as fake as it comes but thats what it takes to keep me from sleeping, cuz i did after 5min
-if doing game series, youre doing it aLL wrong. No more Starbound - Episode 8. I want to see " Guys I FU$%ED IT UP! BUT HOW?! | Starbound Ep 2. You make me think, WTF happen dude! here i was watching ur first ep everything went fine! WTF DID YOU DO IN EP 2 TO ****** IT UP!!??? Do u see the diff?
-Thumbnails Have to be unique for each episode and highlight WHAT happen on that episode. When making a thumbnail always use a guide "How can i make my thumbnail ask or sugest a question"
-Intro is 2 long and 2 soft and silent, i went Zzzz
-IDK who you are WTF your channels about What is ur purpose in life,Why are you in youtube? Why start bound? Why not blogs?

ect.ect.ect.
Youre welcome.

I agree with everything Frank just said in addition, something important to note is that the gaming market is saturated on YouTube and simple lets plays with part 1, 2, 3, 4 etc are not going to work anymore. However, I think there are some steps you can take to create your own formula, for instance what about playing a game for a period of time ~ 2-3 hours or something and then editing it down to 10-20 minutes worth of content, obviously keeping the best / funniest or relevant bits.

An example of this would be TheLazyPeon and how he puts his videos together:

Obviously, this style of video is going to take longer to produce so do it once or twice a week or something!

Apart from that, get better at creating thumbnails! There are no excuses for this anymore as you can find tutorials all over the place. Download Gimp and make it work!

Edit: This one might do the trick!

Thanks for your time and I think this can help me alot, I think im going to start trying to
1.) Be more upbeat in my videos and I didnt realize how I would just naturally go back to a quieter tone as a video would go on.
2.) I was already thinking the same thing about the intro and I am working on fixing that as well, would you recommend something around 3-5 sec long or really should I not even bother with an intro at all.
3.) I have taken the thumbnail idea as some good advice and I start implementing that in my new series of ff14. Every video has the same border but a different picture and stuff. If you look at my videos recently put up and those thumbnails is the basic idea.
4.) I think I am going to recreate my channel trailer to solve the last point of no real reason why I am making youtube videos.
5.) Lastly I think I will switch the naming convention of my stuff to give subtitles then game/series name then part. Something like "Im So Lost! Starbound Blind: Part X"

You dont need to preface it with the tough love stuff. I did this because obviously I have some problems and instead of me just staring at it I wanted people to help. Thanks!

I personally disagree with the point that simple lets plays channels dont work any more and I can site many sources of lets play channels that still are running, and new ones the sprout up every once and a while as well.
I am trying to do better at the thumbnail stuff, Ive tried gimp before and I personally dont like it. Do you know any other free photo editers that are good?

Perhaps they can work in some cases, for example I watch a guy called SorcererDave do Elder Scrolls lets plays, but he gained his audience by doing something no one else at the time was doing and he played a mod for Oblivion called Morroblivion which is essentially the older game Morrowind modded into Oblivion.

Another guy I watch I found on this website called Loki Doki and he is very good at it, he plays Football Manager and introduces skits and is absolutely hilarious.

What I am trying to say is that it is difficult to be unique with lets plays nowadays and you have to do something unique to stand out in an overly saturated market. For example, if you're not doing anything unique why watch your lets plays over the many others of the same game?

Anyway, I suppose that doesn't have to be the solution, it all comes down to having fun. If you're enjoying yourself keep going! If you're chasing numbers and want to engage an audience, adapt!

Edit: As for photo editors I do think Gimp is the way to go, but Paint.NET might work, though I don't know how flexible it is otherwise, the favorite choice would be Photoshop, but that's going to set you back £10 a month.

The problem with simple lets play lies in its own words. Its simple and simple gives u quick spammable quick to produce content. Wish youtube has tons and tons and tons off.Because of this a Lets play channel in 2018 will take you more than 5 years to grow, so its not impossible but it will take you a very long time and might not iven work out at all OR it can work out but think of this.... why should i see you over jacksepticeye or markaplier? Jacksepticeye is hyper as f**k while mark has a sexy voice and his constant laughter makes people laugh and you have...?

note: IM NOT BEING A DI** to you. i just want you to make a complete decision with no sugar coating.Alot of us have walk this road before and many can tell you the pros and cons of it. But be warned, because there is no way around this, you will have to post a lets play vid twice per day or more and work alot on everything sorrounding youre video wish was stated in my previous post so its going to be a lot of work with next to no pay off for the next 2 to 5 years.
