One, two, or three YouTube channels?

Question:

My YouTube channel is primarily Gaming related. I do have a few music videos that I have made on there. I'm thinking of doing some Vlog style videos that aren't of Gaming nature.

Should I just stick with one cover all channel?

Or should I have 3 channels, one for Gaming, one for Music, one for general commentary?

Start of with getting one channel going :) once that channel reaches an good viewer base then you start an new channel ^^ and with the old you promote the new one :)

That's a good theory.

But my concern, which I don't know if it's a valid one, is that the topics are so varied, that a person that is interested in one of the topics but not the other two maybe detered in subscribing because they aren't interested in the other two.

Keep any content that's not similar separate. Sure, you're separating your audience but it will help out so much in the long run.

Start with one channel and upload a test series of each type. See which one turns out the best and go with that afterwards. That's what I did. I started with Reviews, Commentaries/Rants, and a Mystery Science Theater type show about old FMV games. I took which series got the best results and most attention and kept it that way. So, you have to test the waters first.
