Earlier this year, I learned that "me at the zoo" the first video uploaded to YouTube was Hacked.
Someone had edited the description and advertised the description to read "sub4subs" and then edited the layout of the comment section to display most recent comments at the top instead of the most popular as it had done for the past 15 years.
Me at the zoo-0
The comment section is now filled with sub4sub comments many reposted 4 times over and written in poor English.
I had sent a message to Youtube's support team but it seems that if you are not a member of their Partner Program you are not granted access to an actual Staff member, all I got was a registration form to fill out and rather then simply inform them of the issue I wanted to address they requested that I instead explain what the impact of the problem could be if left unnoticed WHAT THE HECK!?
They did not ask for the name of the video or what the actual problem in regards to it was.
After 48 hours I received an email that more or less said that their software and technology would of been able to detect a hacking or any unapproved modifying of their accounts and that they decided to not look further in to my claim.
I am coming to different forums to post this in the hopes that others could offer some insight on what other steps I could take or if there is some other way of contacting YouTube more directly.
Any insightful advice is appreciated, I can also provided screenshots of the video and my submission to The Support team if need be.
