Odd sounds when recording...

When I record my xbox games something happens with my microphone that didn't use to happen. Whenever my voice gets louder I can hear a faint.. almost beeping type noise, but it's not beeping. It sounds more like a computer dial up thing. You know that sound you'd hear if you picked up a land line phone when someone was on the internet in the 90s?
I'm not sure what started it, I think it may be because I have to boost the dB to +30 because my mic is rather bad. Do you think this is really what causes it? And if so, any ideas to fix this without getting a different mic? Short on money and stuff..

Ghosts ... Jokes XD Its might just be the quality of your microphone. My one has done the same and I think it might be because its old which is what yours might be. If you put some background music in your videos it kinda blends the beeping noise away most of the time. Hope this helps :3

I agree with the background noise. When I record the game's music/other sounds covers it up. It's just that I know it's there. xD
It does help to know this problem isn't unheard of and that I'm not being targeted by the universe.

Hmmm sorry....I have no idea why that would be....could be the quality of the mic...or, it could be topping out on volumes. Maybe try adjusting the volumes again? I'm just going to move this thread to the Video Editing, Recording, Software & Hardware section of the forum.

You're dealing with electronic interference.

Best solution is to up the volume of the source (your voice, or the mic itself), and decrease the volume on things down the line (line in volume, digital amplification, etc)

Haha, Try to get a better mic, I think its just you either have an old/bad mic :/ I mean I have watched some of your videos and while the gameplay is awesome a new mic would benefit you loads xD
