I don't think videos responses create that many more views. Don't get me wrong it does help a lot, but from what I've seen, the ratios aren't all that great.

here are my stats....

Video #1 - 1,979 views - Main video got 190,259
Video #2 - 269 views - Main video got 1,185
Video #3 - 310 views - Main video got 7,060
Video #4 - 424 views - Main video got 3,092,871
Video #5 - 1,363 views - Main video got 18,981


What are your thoughts?
 
And this is from the video response? I don't think it's so much views man.
But yeah, if it works.. why not :p
 
well compared to the main views doesnt really seem like you need that much help with your views so can you really expect so much from video responses?I wish my videos could get that many views lol

I go by what YTcreators have said. Having video responses to your videos HELPS (as in one small piece of the puzzle) rank your videos higher in youtube/google searches and related videos.

That's all that matters to me! :)

So I use my videos to respond to my other videos simply so a video response exists and thus it helps my videos rank higher in related videos and searches.
 
I don't think those help much at all. As a viewer, I rarely ever check out the responses. And I set my dog vid as a response to another video of a dog that had a million or close to it views and my video has only reached 300 by now, and I set it as a response very long ago.
 
I think it helps while your video response is still visible just below the main video on the main page.
