Not sure what to do on YouTube anymore

I'm not sure if I'm really asking for help or not, I think it's one of those situations where I just want to tell someone and talk about it.
Anyways I've had a small YouTube channel for a little while now, and recently haven't posted for a long while. I used to be really motivated to upload but kinda grew out if it. I think I just don't want to pursue the gaming genre. I'm thinking about making films or blogging but I'm a but too shy to show my face so I don't know about that.
I want to do something like this because it's fun and that's all I really wanna have.

Anyways thanks for whoever decides to read about my problems. Sorry for rambling in but it just feels better expressing myself.

To me , it looks like you're still trying to figure out who you really are.I think you started to question yourself & what you should do that represent yourself the best. While i don't think anybody on this forum can help you finding out who you really are and what you should do , i can tell you that whatever it is make sure you put 100% effort into it and do everything in your power to succeed. Even if you don't make it. sometimes it's not about reaching your goals , it's about who you become trying to achieve them so don't fear failure. Like i'm dedicated to my Gaming YT channel and i WILL do whatever it takes to become someone. I feel like once you get in that mindset, anything is possible. You just gotta find yourself again.

hope it helped. :)

There are a ton of ways of making movies that don't require the creator to be on camera. You can work with other people who like being on camera, and you can be the person who writes the scripts and works the camera equipment. You could do some sort of animation, or do something abstract.

But honestly, if you're in a place where you don't feel like making content right now, you can take a break. Unless YouTube is your job or a significant source of income, it's mostly what people do for fun. If it's not fun, don't worry about it!

I Was So Anxsty About When I Was Filming Myself When I Started, It Was Super Stressful.
BUT, It Goes Away Quickly As You Just Keep On Doing It!^^
So I Would Recommend You Try Shooting Something, and Edit It. But Don't Think Of It As "I HAVE TO POST THIS, SO IT HAS TO BE REALLY GOOD"
Just Think To Yourself, I'm Just Goofing Around, Toying Around With Different Ideas, I'm Not Filming This To Post It, I'm Just Seeing What I Come Up With, And If I Like It, Then, I'll Consider Posting It Or Not.

That Really Helped Me :)
I Hope You Find Your Groove!^^ It's SO Much Fun Making Content That Is Comedy/Acting/People Related On YouTube, I Really Recommend Trying It!^^
If You Want, Don't Be Shy With Hitting Me Up For Collab-Ideas, I'd Love To Help a Fellow Tuber Out! :)

Your last line
I want to do something like this because it's fun and that's all I really wanna have.
I think this should be the answer to your question.
If you go in a new direction and its fun than just do it.

Dont worry about how you think you look. As they say "I have a face for radio" but I couldnt care less. Have a look at all the youtubers out there when your skipping through videos. If you were to watch mine is the first thing you think of is what my face looks like???

Again - Just do it.

First show your face.I had the problem too and slowly slowly i show it.Think that my father is nearly 60 years old and he is ok with this. And i have a problem about this....
Second do what you like.If you think you are good on something then do it.With consistency it will be great.

Or just put a gameplay in the background and a small facecam in the corner and just talk about what's on your mind.. while poeple are listening at what are you saying, they eyes are on the gameplay.

Thanks everyone for their help, all of you have helped me think things through and I'm so glad that you guys told me what you have, I wouldn't have expected nearly this many people to give me their help :)
