Hey guys! I'm starting a new series on my channel called Black Ops 2 Road to Diamond Specials. I'm doing live gameplay commentaries and i was thinking about putting music under it. I know you can't put copyrighted music! I was thinking about putting non-copyrighted music under it.
Can the non-copyrighted musics become copyrighted? Because then it will be blocked worldwide. can someone help me how this works.
Thanks :)

there's no such thing as non-copyrighted music. Every piece of art/video/anything creative has copyright.

The point is you need the rights to be able to use someone's content. So you need written consent.

Once you have that, you're set. People may suddenly say that you can't use their content. But it's highly unlikely

Post above pretty much says it all. You see for every artist uploaded on my channel I have permission. Just ask them :)

This isn't entirely true. Some music from a long time ago doesn't have copyright. Anything before 1923 is public domain.

Follow this link for more details:
inventors (dot) about (dot) com/od/copyrights/a/expiration.htm

Can't post links, so replace the dots above with actual dots.

yes but it has to be that specific recording from before 1923. If it's a new recording of a 1923 piece then it would be copyrighted by the recording company.

I doubt you would find a 1923 recording of something that you want to use.
