Non-Copyright songs/mixes

Hello everybody,

I would like to ask you three questions.
1) I was thinking about making my "the best of non-copyright songs" what I have seen on different YouTube channels with titles No-Copyright music. But they can be part of network so they may have the possibility to publish that video without getting a strike - My question is, how I can find that - The song for example "Mako - Our Story" or "Stephen Swartz - Bullet Train (feat. Joni Fatora)" are copyrighted or non-copyrighted? I'm really careful when it goes to this, and if I will going to make this video I want to be 100% sure that I'm publishing something safe...

2) When I will publish this video - I heard from YouTubers who are YouTubing for about 2 years that they got strikes for placing music in past when the music was actually non-copyright and now it's copyright (So they had to take those videos down or edit them and there are now empty windows in those videos without any commenting or sound)... Is this really true? And if it's true how I can fight against this?

3) I'm having Gaming channel (My gaming content is actually about 95% of all vids) and would this be a problem in future if I will going to join a network? (I mean that music video) I read somewhere that for example Freedom has different contracts for different kind of people/genres - Gamers, artists,...

I know that here is a lot's of smart people - That's why I'm going here, so thank you for your time and answers! :p

Actually if you use a song and you had proof it wasn't copyrighted when you released it and then it later gets copyrighted. You fall under what is known as Grandfathered in where you legally have the right to use it because you released it when it wasn't copyrighted.

That's nice to know...
And how do I find that's copyrighted song? I have to ask everyone who made that song if I can use it in my gameplay/mix of songs? It sounds unreal to me - I asked KREWELLA for using one of his songs (I asked twice) and still waiting and it's few months (He will never answer) and a lot's of people had that on YouTube as a Non-Copyrighted, but want to be sure :) So how do I find that's copyrighted or not?

go to copyright.gov (Assuming he's in the USA) and search the database. If it shows up that means he can legally sue you. Anything you make is copyrighted just in order for a lawsuit to take place it needs to be registered with copyright government.
