No line break when replying to comments?

Crown

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So this is becoming more and more annoying, particularly now that I'm getting quite a few comments on my videos.

I am specifically talking about when I reply to comments via the community -> comments section ( https://www.youtube.com/comments )

I often get a lot of questions that require a long reply with several paragraphs to make it easier to understand. When I press enter, there is a line break and a new paragraph is started. But when, I save the comment, the line breaks along with all the paragraphs disappear! So my reply is just one big line of text.

Anyone else have this issue? I've reported it already to YT but no change.

Yeah that really sucks.
I like to use my spaces and it makes it easier and neater to read.
Periosnally, I find it harder to read things that are just in huge blocks of words, so the youtube thing sucks...

Yes it is very annoying. I guess you know that you can use bold and italics in your comments?

I didn't know that for the bold and italics. I'll look up how to do that, thanks :)

For the carriage return / line break problem, it is really annoying, like you say. I'm glad I'm not the only one. For me, it makes the community>comments page unusable. I have to note down what video the comment is on and go to its comments page via video manager. That is what is crazy - it works via video manager so YT does know how to do it so I do think it's a bug of some sort. But now that I'm starting to get quite a few comments every day, it would be so much easier if it would work properly on the community comments page. I mean that's what it's there for.

I noticed the bug a few weeks ago, but at first, I could get it to work by pressing SHIFT- ENTER (which is how it works on facebook apparently) but now even that doesn't work.

I've filled in another feedback report, but I don't know what good it'll do.[DOUBLEPOST=1397628538,1397628481][/DOUBLEPOST]
OMG. I've been having the same issue. It's very annoying :(

Yeah, it's a pain.[DOUBLEPOST=1397628656][/DOUBLEPOST]

It's the same for me. I have an education channel and I get a lot of questions which demand a long reply with paragraphs, lists etc etc. I can't do any of that from the community page.

I guess they overlooked that fact? Or teens with #sweg were the ones who coded the comments?
