No growth after 4 months, feedback would be extremely helpful

Sup guys!

After 4 months and 12 videos, my channel is still at a slump. My only subs and views are from people that I know and me relentlessly watching them myself in order to improve my craft. How do I bring in the actual YouTube community to watch my videos? I feel like my tags are pretty descriptive and original. Do you guys mind checking out the video below to see if you like it? I'd be extremely grateful for feedback.

On the bright side, the lack of growth won't deter me from making videos. Love doing it!

Thanks

Hello my lovely, I took a look - here's my thoughts:

1. Intro is a little long at 12 seconds - might find a bit of a drop off from viewers at the very beginning of your videos as I sometimes do when I have an intro at the beginning without an entertaining clip to draw people in before that.
2. Your audio/video quality is excellent, editing is great, the fresh/rotten noises got to be annoying after a while though as they were a bit too loud to 'tune out' and sometimes went over the end of your sentence so I couldn't hear it.
3. Your commentary is actually on point but could really do with some variation in pitch, emphasis and a little more energy when conveying your info. The video straddles the line between informative review of a film and comedy review but isn't completely one or the other. I think if you're going for a serious review then it needs to be just that, with passion and insightful comments injected wherever you can - if humor is what you're going for, snappier points, loads of enthusiasm and perhaps a shorter overall video length may help. I feel this video would have benefited from going either way a bit more.
4. 12 videos in 4 months is an average of 3 a month, and whilst video quality should always be the thing you prioritize most (imo) - the number of uploads will also greatly help to reach a wider audience. If you can up the number of videos to at least a weekly upload on a set date I imagine that will help as people will subscribe knowing that they can expect more content soon.

Hope that helps, I subbed to support your channel and look forward to seeing you grow :)

Thank you for your very helpful feedback, Miss Medi. I am sincerely grateful for it and it's some of the best that I've gotten. Very refreshing to get someone else's point of view and will definitely use your advice to improve the channel.

I undoubtedly agree with you in that I need to convey a little more energy. This wasn't my best video but you can clearly detect more enthusiasm in my '90 Seconds' videos. It's also interesting you found the fresh/rotten noises a bit annoying because my friend said the exact same thing. So now I know it's not just him. I'll definitely lower the volume on those so thanks for that.

And my next goal is to upload one video a week at the very least. I also think naturally, people continue to make more videos as their channel continues to grow further as a motivation tool. So that'll definitely help in achieving the goal and I'm optimistic it can grow as long as it reaches the right demographic.

Thank you again and am glad to hear you found the vid somewhat enjoyable!

You have great content but you just need an audience then you will get rolling. Try getting social media.

Atomicred, thanks man! That truly is a confidence booster and very nice to hear. Will definitely look into social media for more exposure.
