Nintendo Creators Program

I Love YTtalk
Nintendo created a some kind of MCN that let you monetize nintendo gameplay, you guys should check that out.

After reading your post, I scrambled to a news site to find the post. It's great to hear! I vaguely recall them saying they'd have something to say about it in the past, but I don't remember a notice anytime before.
I assume I'd probably have to wait until I'm out of my current network, but it's great that the option is there. Now, I wait. :(

not sure whats the deal and revenue share, contact period and so on, probably wait them release more statement on that

Nice, that's really Awesome!!!

I don't make any gaming videos but it's still pretty cool for the people who make Pokémon videos!

I don't think it's like an MCN, not from how they say you signup.
They say it's as simple as just creating an account on their system and submitting any video URLs that contain nintendo content.

I'd say it's more likely that Nintendo will Content ID claim these videos and then give you back a % of the revenue these videos make so you could still be in an MCN or with YouTube direct and not have to leave etc.

they still took up some % from the revenue that the video earned even if you fair use them.

You cannot claim fair use if the owning company has pre-stated specific guidelines to be upheld when using their content.

There is a legal issue with them running a full blown MCN, which explains why they would do it with a separate account and video linking. If they were a full MCN, then any video a YouTuber does would be claimed in the same way whether it was Nintendo product or not. Since claiming a video is an assertion of legal license to use the content, that would mean that Nintendo would be claiming video game footage from other developers and publishers which would cause problems.

Nintendo takes 40% of a single video's revenue or 30% if you register a Nintendo dedicated channel. The creator can opt out at anytime but they forfeit their cut and lose their license to use Nintendo content.
