Newest video to critique

Gaijillionaire

I've got a yen for being in Japan!
so I made a new video. There's 2 things I'd like your take on. First, I upgraded mics, and the voice quality is much better than before. But how does it sound to you. It seems clear to me but a little too loud. How is the sound mix?

Secondly I filmed this inside a dark room with an iPhone. And used color correction to make it look the lights were bright. So. Could you notice the low lighting if I hadn't told you?
Thanks!

My critique is for the pink chair video: You put some pictures you found online before you say that you went online to research the chair. By doing that, you kind of sold the punch haha.

What can you critique of my video? Thanks

Hi gaji! Nice review video! I noticed the change with the mic because now the sound is much clearer, but yeah maybe it's a bit loud so you should try lowering it just by a tiny bit. Also I couldn't notice the difference in the dark area so you did a good job (or maybe I don't have such a critical eye for this xD).
Nothing bad with the video!

ye your right, and there really is no way around that. other than the same one shot for too much time, i feel, but i guess that in itself is kind of a joke.

as for your video, first as full disclosure, i am about 100 years older than you so i don't really "get" that style of video but it has some good points. especially that you only show 2 seconds of the clip, instead of staring at it for 10 minutes like every other moron! So it gives me a reason not to click off. your answers are snappy fast and funny. no ups ups, or comments that make no sense, inside humour or anything else uninteresting and distracting. again, because i come from a different time, don't take my words personally, but its just my opinion. you should stop with all the jump cuts. either just have one long take, which would be nice to see because it shows you can speak uninterrupted for a long time, or put a short flash between each cut. i used to work in TV and one jump cut would get us a warning, and enough of them would get you fired. i know its what all the kids do but thats because none of the kids ever had to do it the right way! anyways good luck![DOUBLEPOST=1464434742,1464434423][/DOUBLEPOST]

well thanks! its good hear that. yea its loud, i still haven't found the right setting. as for the light levels, my raw footage was almost fully black. there were no lights inside except from the ceiling about 30m up. you could see that in the video, but the raw footage was almost unusable, and i did a lot of tinkering to get it right. the puck man machine had to use a still photo because the video i shot was all black and couldn't see anything! thanks again for telling me what ya think!
