I'm new to YouTube recording and was hoping for some guidance here.
What I'm looking to do is to have multiple guitars/bass/vocals recorded. These would all be done separately. I'd like high quality audio recordings of each (not the poor quality that phone microphones can give). Once each video/audio recording is done for each part, I'd then like to merge all of the tracks and videos together and make sure they are synced up correctly.
So, multi-part question here. In order to do this...
-For the video portion, would doing this with my simple phone work?
-For the audio portion, what would be the best equipment to use to do this? I'm ok spending some money on this. Should I just use the same type of guitar amp/acoustic guitar microphone I would use for a live performance? If so, what would that be hooked up to?
-Once I have the video/audio portions all recorded, how do I make sure that they are synced?
-Once the above is completed, how do I merge all the videos/audios into one final output?
Thanks in advance for your help with this!
