New YouTube Tag System?

I went to upload a new video today. It appears that YouTube has revamped the tag system.

I find it to be cumbersome and I'm a little confused.

As we know, it's important to have most tags as phrases like "funny cat video 2012" with the quotation marks.

Now, however, it appears that if you type four words together for example, it pops them out as a separate tag of it's own. BUT, you can ALSO type out your "funny cat video 2012" and it shows THAT as a tag, but with the quotes.

I'm confused - is there any need for the quotation marks around a phrase now?

Try seperating each of your tags with commas.

Ex.

Funny cat video 2012, crazy cat, comedy, furry
 
Right, but I'm wondering with the NEW tag system, rolled out around 2 days ago, if we still need to put quotation marks around phrases or not...

So do we need to do "like this" and more or what it only be: like this for the phrasing...
 
Hey, this is my first post here and I need some help.
How can I copy/paste some tags?(I have a range of videos which have a lot of common tags)
I can't copy/paste them with this new system.

The point of quotations was to tag a phrase. As you've noticed the same thing happens if you type the phrase then hit enter or comma.
The new tag system is nice. It is easy and clear. And it makes it so it's not easy to just copy and past other people's tags anymore. Now you have to take time and type them all out :)

I believe they had already removed people's tags from the descriptions of their video some time ago...Am I correct in that assumption?

Also, you can still copy/paste them. If you click in the window with the tags, press ctrl+a then ctrl+c you can ctrl+v them into a new tag window.
