New skill! Blurring!

Hi guys,

This isn't really a question or a plea for help or anything - just something I'm proud of that I wanted to share.

I generally make all my videos with Windows Movie Maker - mainly because I find programs like Adobe Premiere super confusing. WMM is fast and easy to use, I don't require a lot of fancy stuff, and it was freely available to me.

But recently I've needed to expand my horizons a little in order to add PiP effects, multiple audio tracks, and most recently - with today's video - blurring! (Newest video contains nudity... haha... but blurry nudity now!)

I know for a lot of you this isn't groundbreaking. But if you're new to making videos, and you don't know how to do something you want to, do some reading, play around, and persevere! Eventually you'll figure it out.

OMG. IM NOT THE ONLY WHO USES WMM. haha. I've think I have been able to use it as a pro now, so it's almost like a noob using Final Cut Pro or something.

The key is to download WMM 6.0 - it was the most flexible and the easiest to use. The new Windows Live version kinda sucks. No timeline in it, either.[DOUBLEPOST=1365029274,1365029123][/DOUBLEPOST]

Of course! I used Adobe Premiere (CS6) and followed this set of instructions:

Search "How To Blur PART of a video in Adobe Premiere Pro" on Google - forum won't let me post links yet. :-(

You can download a free 30-day trial of Premiere. (Which is what I did) My trial is almost up. I'm debating paying for it because the options with it are endless. But I still find it intimidating and complicated to use. I'm trying to learn it one skill at a time.[DOUBLEPOST=1365029334][/DOUBLEPOST]
Oh god, Movie maker!
The real pros use adobe after effects cs6 xD

Oh, of course! I don't debate the limited functionality of WMM. I'm just freely admitting that I find CS6 super complicated and confusing and I've really never been taught how to use it. But I'm learning one new skill at a time, like PiP and blurring.

Create a video.
Set it as unlisted so it won't appear to your normal viewers or in your channel at all.
Link to it from here - that way its only for YTTalk viewers and your usual viewers know nothing different ;)

i use wmm 2012 cos i dont really edit i just merge clips together

Exactly. That's most of what I use it for, too. My videos are pretty simple. I just use Adobe for PiP or effects or multiple audio tracks. (Mainly because those are the only things I've figured out how to do so far)
