I really should've used my original channel for a custom URL so you've already jumped a hurdle because of that! That's awesome! Um , first thing is first Your channel Icon/Banner don't match/ tell me nothing about you. They are generic and even if you're a sonic lover your channel header doesn't relay that. The first thing I would do is work on branding yourself as JCash1313 or if that is not really what you want to be known as for the rest of your YT life, perhaps come up with a memorable, loveable channel name that means something to you. Sure you'll lose the custom URL then but at least it'll be for a meaningful reason.
If you have any artistic/graphic design talent I suggest you pick up GIMP and create yourself a personal Icon and Channel Banner that relays who you are, what you do, (Your value proposition (Which is the why you've made a YouTube channel/why your channel stands out from the thousands of others out there) which you should've already developed before starting your channel up) and your posting schedule perhaps. The colors, contents etc, should all be coherent and relate to exactly what you're trying to portray to the world.
When you start YouTube you need to look at it from a business prospective. Why would people come to your door, vs all the other options out there. You need to work hard to make your channel a visually appealing place to be and show your customer base (Your viewers and potential subs) Why they should be coming to you.
If you have no ability to create something clean, and 100% yours (Never, ever, EVER use images that you didn't create unless you have EXPLICIT permission from the creator to do so!) then perhaps think about asking around or paying a designer to create these for you. If you're truly serious about YT and making it in the end, these are things you MUST consider. Why? People judge based on first impressions. That's the sad truth. Admit it, even you will do it when looking at a new channel. If something doesn't ring right with you, you probably wouldn't subscribe so why would you leave that door open to potential viewers and Subs?
As a gaming channel I need to stress this. YOU ARE NEVER, EVER, EVER ALLOWED TO JUST POST ANY GAMING CONTENT! Let's Plays are not, nor will they ever be protected by the Fair Use Act from the DMCA. This means that if you post content developers have an issue with, (SquareEnix/Nintendo hava a big issue with a lot of Let's Plays for example.) then inevitably, you'll be hit by a copyright strike from YouTube when you grow. You only need 3 strikes before you're out and when you're out, YOU'RE OUT! You need to make sure all your ducks are in order. Now you may think just because (And I'm going to use him as he's the largest one out there) Pewdiepie posts a game, you're allowed to too. That's not the case. He is large enough that if he asks, he will get permission or his MCN will get it for him because he turns around and makes YouTube/Them millions in the end. This is not the case for small channels so you will often never get the permissions you need to post that content.
ALWAYS make sure you contact the developers/publishers (Publishers mainly) and get your full and explicit permissions to post let's play footage BEFORE ever posting it to YouTube. That is because when... WHEN YouTube comes a knocking on your door and saying, "We noticed you posted ____... so uh... where's that permission slip?" You have it to show them. If not you'll get hit with a copyright strike for each video in violation. If you have over 3 you're instantly done on YouTube and they will make sure you're never allowed back. I've seen it happen over the years. It sucks.
These are some of the basic things you need to research before making a gaming channel so I hope this helps! ^_^ Good luck!
