New GoPro Just Released

Are GoPro's still only battery operated or do they have an AC port?
Well you can use the skeleton housing and plug the USB cable into it. This can be done using a wall iPhone charger or you can use an external hub like I did here, this lasted 15 hours straight and still had a quarter charge left.

I have been interested in getting a GoPro recently to capture when I go out on my bike, not much interesting happens but seeing the world from a different perspective is interesting. I tried with my phone the other day recording as I was riding, it turned out awful but the experience was fun and looking at what I captured I found interesting. They look to be getting better. Something I really want is a DJI Phantom 3 Professional but I just cannot justify the cost other than to have fun with it every now and then.

They are getting WAY better. Check out the quality I pumped out in this one with my Hero 4 Black. If you're going to spend 300 on the one I posted here, you might as well drop 200 more and get a Hero 4 Black.

Only thing that bugs me about GoPros is how they haven't made it easy to just use the blasted thing as a webcam. It's one of the best quality small form factor cameras out there and you need all kinds of janky nonsense to get this to work. Big oversight IMO.

My company uses them (I turned the company onto GoPro btw) for all kinds of marketing stuff at trade shows and for training. They just hook it up via USB cable and it feeds live onto whatever monitor they choose. I've never done it myself so I'm not sure what all was involved, but I don't think it should be way too hard.[DOUBLEPOST=1433197640,1433196438][/DOUBLEPOST]
