"New Comment" Emails WAY Late

So I just looked at an email saying I had a "NEW" comment... I remember this comment from a long time ago. Turns out the "NEW" comment was 7 months old and I just got an email about it. I don't understand how YouTube's email system works, but it's slightly off..... Anybody else deal with this?

I had that happen to me with a whole slew of comments I'd seen and replied to weeks ago. That was a one-off, so maybe there's some glitch in the notifications system that only happens once in a while?

Happened a few times already, youtube need to fix a lot of crap lately xD

Yep, happened a few times, it sucks when you reply to almost every comment you get :/ YOUTUBE FIX YO CRAP

I feel like this issue has been around for a year or two. My solution:

Tubebuddy has something that helps me figure out if I'm missing comments. I just log into the dashboard, filter comments, boom.
