New Channel, New URL System (Html method help)

I'm new here, but I'm not exactly starting yet, so i haven't introduced myself ;).

Today i decided to have a look at what urls are taken, and to finalize one. However: "LOL 500 SUBS OOH WERE GON H3LP U SO MUC 4 GET THERE FDSIUOFHIUDSHFDSHFLJDSHFIHSKLHDFHGNFDLUSBFKJ.SW" I do not know how to do the whole "html" method thing either, so can someone me figure this out? I feel like it's hard enough for us smaller channels to get even past 100 subscribers, so are they just hiding us more by making us have UCfpYQWczmjDny4C1WvmJOeQ? I need some guidance on how to get a /c/url.

Also, now what? do we have our regular youtube.com/user/(the random numbers) and then our vanity url? I'm confused :unsure:
 
Only option, stick it out until the 500 mark. Make great videos, improve and promote properly, you'll hit 500 in no time if you're willing to accept criticism; personally and from outside sources.

/user/ URLs are for users who signed up for a custom URL before this whole thing started. Then now it's basically if you want ot change your URL, you will get a /c/ url but you need 500 subs. I believe this was because people spammed custom URLs although they never keep their channels for long.
In my personal opinion a 500 sub threshold is a little high though.
 
I asked because i have had previous youtube channels from 2010 and 2012-2014 and I have no idea how this new system works :happy2: thx bb!
