Hey everyone! I am new here...
My name is Taher, I'm 24 years old from Norway, and in my last year of studying medicine.
My idea comes from growing up. I would always hear about different diseases, some uncle had a heart attack, some relative had a stroke, another person had HIV, cancer, epilepsy, downs, etc. But what was all this really? In my mind I had created a picture of what I thought a disease was, but now finishing school I see how wrong I had been.
I think this is common in the population, people don't really know that much about the most common diseases.
What I want to do, is to create short clips, maybe up to 2-3 min, Explaining the origin of a disease, how it is for a person to live with it, what a friend or relative can do, therapy/treatment, and maybe what the future holds. Short, easy understandable clips with pictures and "layman" terms.
TL; DR,
Want to make a new channel dedicated to explaining diseases/medicine in a easy way for the general/non-medically educated population.
Is this a good idea?
Any feedback is greatly appreciated!
(Also, haven't fully decided on a name yet, but how is ElementaryMedicine?
