New camera ordered!!

Just wanted to share my excitement!

Well, Ive been using a Canon EOS 650D (Rebel T4i) for the past year or two, for all my YouTube filming. Great camera, highly recommended, and the main reasons why I chose it was the articulating screen, and the autofocus while in video mode.

However, the autofocus in video isnt brilliant. Its a bit slow as it searches for the focal point, which is noticeable in video.

Hence I've just sold the camera body - I'm keeping the 18-135mm STM lens which I will use with my new DSLR.....

Just placed a pre-order for the Canon EOS 70D instead, and will use my current STM lens with that!! Its due out towards the end of this month, and Im well excited! Went for this one since the autofocus is much better - no more searching for focus, its all pretty much instant, like a proper video camcorder!

This should do me for a long time to come!!

 
Yup, it's not a cheap camera, but hopefully it's an investment as my channel continues to grow!

Rather then use my 'own money' to buy it, I'm going to stick it on a 0% credit card and let my monthly YouTube earnings pay it off. I did the same with my MacBook etc. That way it's like I've got all my equipment for YouTube paid for by my YouTube earnings ;)

I'll do a test/review video of it all once it arrives.
Talking of arriving, it's supposed to be released late August, but I notice Amazon say Oct 25th!!! I hope it isn't that late as I need to continue creating content for my channel!! I've got 3 videos created and uploaded for the moment, which I'll trickle out every week or two by making public, so that will keep me going for a while. Any longer then that and I'll have to look at alternates, which are currently either my GoPro, or my iPhone 5!!
