network advice.

I've Got It
Hi all, so I have just ticked over 1k sub's and have been thinking about joining a network for a while.

I'm struggling though as I really am not sure which network would best suit my channel type as I make videos about treasure hunting and the outdoors and most networks seem to be gamer orientated.

Do you think I would benefit from joining a network and which would you suggest ?

Totally depends on what benefits and value a network can bring to you for offering a percentage of your revenue. If you are able to keep doing what you're are doing without the help of a network, then i'd say there's not really much point at this moment. However, that's not to say that networks don't have good value to offer and there are certain networks that aren't solely gamer-based (one network I can think of is SocialBlade).

Congrats on hitting 1k subs as well :)

If you meet the requirements, I'd definitely recommend Curse (UnionForGamers). It's one network I always wanted to join, but sadly we were offered a better deal by BBTV. The reason I'd rather recommend a network I've never been a part of instead of network I've been with for 10 months is simple: Curse is smaller and will be able to help you out more, based on what I've read and heard from people who are part of it. BBTV is amazing for bigger channels, but I doubt they do much for smaller ones since they're 2nd biggest YouTube network out there. Curse also offers a great deal (90-10% share with no lock-in contract) and they have a nice community. Doing YouTube alone can be lonely at times and you might want to chat with other people, ask for advices or collaborate, so being part of a network with great revenue share deal and no lock-in contract can definitely help. Worst case scenario, you don't like it, lose 10% for a month or two and you're off to search for another network or carry on without one! :)
