Ok so I want to start a youtube channel like everyone else but the thing is, I have an accent. It is nit that horrible, you can still understand what I say but it doesn't ver nice to hear (at least by my opinion) and I am not really sure if I should upload my videos. (I know for a fact that a lot of great yputubers had an accent, like pewdiepie or another people that don't live in the US but I want to hear your opinion). Also I live with my family since I am a minor and I think it can be kind of amberrsaing to record videos here, am I being dumb a** b***h? And for my finale question, I do want to record videos so I would gove that a try but what do you think should be my first video, and also I will be glad if someone would be kind enough to give me a free editing softwere. (I know a lot of people use adobe but I think it cost money, if I am wrong please tell me).

About your questions.
1) Go for it, accents don't affect the quality of the video and anyone who says otherwise is just kidding themselves and you can just remind them that accents and dialects exist.
2) You can do it when they are out of the house, it is more peaceful to record when they are out and edit and upload and plan when they aren't out
3) I use windows movie maker, it's free, basic and get's the job done, then if you don't like it you can look for others, and if you like it keep using it.
hope this helps- MrRainman

Accents can actually keep an audience because they think its interesting xD. You have nothing to worry about. I am 20 and currently at univeristy and still at home. I have to wait till either its quiet or no one is in to record. A good pc helps a ton and good software too. if you are still a minor I imagine you don't have a lot of income so trying to invest in something cheap but universal like camtasia and xsplit may be quiet good for you.

thanks guys but there is a catch, it is very rare for my family to live the house, they work here and they barely go outside exept when buying food so should I still try and upload?

Go for it my man. Accents are legit. Record when everyone is sleeping. Just don't shout all night.

ok if that's the case (I have had this too) record the gameplay and record over it either making it funny or talk about something

As long as you know the language you'll be speaking in your videos well, I don't think it would propose any issues. With the family issue, I still record anyway, you should be fine if you ask them to leave you alone for a bit. And Editing software, Adobe Premiere Pro does cost, but you can pirate it (Not promoting it but its an option) Or get a free one like moviemaker (Or iMovie depending one what computer you have) It's not the best, but it's good to say it's free, and 9/10 comes with your computer. Good luck! :)

Totally go for it! I'll let you in on a little secret, one everyone has an accent and two everyone hates the way their voice actually sounds! I hated the way my voice sounded, not to mention that my accent is so confusing that no one can actually pin down where I come from unless I tell them! But it makes you that little bit more interesting.

I currently live with my parents and elder brother and that can make it difficult to film, so I make the most of the times when I have the house all to myself and film as many videos as I can in that time! I've trained myself to be quite efficient actually!

Unfortunately I'm not much help on the editing software front, I use Final Cut Pro, but that's not the cheapest option.

Never let an accent stop you! Usually, that gives more of a special vibe to your videos. Most English people actually really enjoy hearing foreign accents, as it turns out. I have mostly a generic English accent (you can't hear where I would be from), but sometimes my Dutch pokes its head around the corner when I'm rambling. ;)

That's why I watch your videos. I like you accent. You should start a new channel and read storybooks to children. I'm not at all kidding.[DOUBLEPOST=1446555252,1446554731][/DOUBLEPOST]

The adobe suite of software offers a 30 day trial and you don't even need to submit your credit card. As far as your accent goes, most people don't like the sound of their own voice. Actually, the only accent I don't enjoy hearing is the American southern bell accent and that's because I was married to one. lol. I suggest practicing first if you're not sure about things. Just download Audacity and get used to hearing yourself in playback. I had to sing on my bands last album and I had never sang lead vocals. I'll admit, it was a little intimidating but the more you do it the more you get used to it. Eventually, it won't be an issue at all.
