Need urgent help right here!

Hi guys,
as you can see I am new to the forums.
I am in need of some urgent solutions/explanation.

I have uploaded a lyrics video a few months ago and I claimed that it didn't contain any copyrighted material.
I got a sanction/strike from Hollywood Records and it was said that it will be removed in 6 months.
I deleted the video and can't really know if the strike will still go off in 6 months? It says information can be found on the Copyright Notice tab but the video is not there anymore, I've deleted it.

And, I reuploaded the lyric video without claiming the copyright thingy which I learned from some videos. It didn't get removed/banned but it's blocked in some countries. Some of my other videos have that thing too. Will these things consider my strike not to be removed?

I am trying to upload some Minecraft Pocket Edition let's plays and I need to increase the video limit and I can't because my account is not in good standing. Hope someone could clarify this clearly to me.

Thanks!

You reuploaded the same lyric video, after getting a strike?

If the song in question is part of YouTubes content matching system, it can still be blocked in places/claimed by the rightful owner, etc.

And it'll probably hurt your chances of getting that strike removed.

Could result in more too, if any of the copyright owners whos content is in a video choose to persue it.

I'm surprised they didn't take it down again.

Then again... I'm not.

Good rule of thumb; stay away from copyrighted material.

First at all you need to calm down. One Strike, two Strikes and or even three Strikes aren`t a Armageddon. Let`s start from the Beginning so you actually understand what went wrong and know how to fix it:

I have uploaded a lyrics video a few months ago and I claimed that it didn't contain any copyrighted material.

Those Lyric Videos, doesn`t matter for which Artists are the easiest Way to get Flagged since at no point you are doing anything that can prevent you from getting a Copyright Strike. You did upload a Music Track where you don`t own any right on it.

That was already your Mistake. If you don`t have created something on your own or get the permission from the Artist or the Right Owner itself you already did loose.

I deleted the video and can't really know if the strike will still go off in 6 months? It says information can be found on the Copyright Notice tab but the video is not there anymore, I've deleted it.

Yes the Strike will disappear after six Months. It`s one of those things that is indeed working on YouTube.

Will these things consider my strike not to be removed?

No they won`t. Copyright Strikes and those so called Matched third party content/Video blocked in some countries/Disputed third party matched content/... - Messages you might find under your Copyright Notices Tab doesn`t extend any Time Window at all. Only a Copyright Stike would do that.

I am trying to upload some Minecraft Pocket Edition let's plays and I need to increase the video limit and I can't because my account is not in good standing. Hope someone could clarify this clearly to me.

If you could upload Videos that had a longer Gameplay Length before that Strike and can`t do that at the current Point YouTube won`t allow you upload Material that is longer then 15:00 Minutes till you get to get rid of that Copyright Strike.

How to get rid of an Copyright Strike:

Instead of waiting those six Months you should act now so you probably will get rid of it in less then four Weeks if everything went fine and you have some luck.

- First at all you should try to get in Contact with those that did fill in the Copyright Claim and apologize to them and tell them you are sorry about it and that you know that you have done obviously something wrong.

- Explain to them that you have removed the Trailer the same Moment you got the Message from YouTube to don`t break any Copyright Law any longer.

- The next Step is that you should try to get them to revoked the Copyright Claim. What is needed to be done to do so can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/t/retractions

Good luck.

@stratafm
Thanks for the info dude! I admit that I've stepped into the wrong path at first.
Hope it goes away soon. :)

@Sanuku
Thanks for the loooong reply, really helpful one.
I actually sent Hollywood Records a message about it and I've not got any replies since 2-3 days ago.
Count me having a bad luck then. :/
