Need some Techy Help with new Monitor

GamingFD

I've Got It
Hey guys. I am going to be getting a monitor soon for my laptop and hopefully for my gaming pc once I build it.
But for now it is just for my gaming laptop.
I want to use it as my main monitor but have my laptop screen as an extended display. My question is...
Can I use my nvidia graphics card for the monitor and the built in graphics in my 3rd gen i7 processor?(which I think the intel processors have, right?)

If so, how?

Thanks,
GamingFD

If I am gaming on the exteeernal monitor, my Nvidia GT650M can handle surfing the web on one and gaming on the other?

a grapgics card for both is the best way to go, from what ive seen from intel graphics in the CPU's i think it will be alright for one monitor, but then again, that was a trailer and full of advertising talk that make everything look good.[DOUBLEPOST=1369341473,1369341452][/DOUBLEPOST]

3rd gen intel i7

I want to use the crappy intel graphics for just surfing the web and all the gaming/editing done on the big screen with better graphics...if someone could just tell me how to do it...I could just test it out and see which is better for me?

You will notice absolutely zero performance change by trying to do this. Just let the nVidia do it's thing. The single only reason the integrated is there, is because it's cheaper for them to only have one motherboard to manufacture.

And honestly, though I've never tried. I don't think it's possible except for switching which is in use when you turn the machine on.

so use the intel graphics of the CPU for the surfing and the GPU for gaming at the same time?
i have no idea how to get something like that done :/
sorry
