Need scrolling text in Sony Vegas to disappear

For my next video I have an opening scene of a newsroom reporting on something, which also means that I need rolling news text (Sentence from right to left), the problem I have it that I need the text to disappear when it reaches the "Headlines:" word.

So the sentence rolls from one side to the other and when it reaches the other side it starts to fade the words out so the other words can come in:

Can anyone link me to a tutorial on YouTube or tell me how to do it?

I Don't know any tutorials, but you can put a mask around that area and feather it.
