Search for creative commons music and there is tons of royalty-free music you can use. Just credit the maker in the description of the video.

I offer royalty free music under creative commons licenses on a new channel I just started with my collaborator. It's the first channel listed in my "Awesome Youtube Channels" on my profile page. I would post the direct link, but I don't have enough posts yet.

There are only a few tracks up for now, but we are steadily adding more of many different genres and feels.

NOTE: Please read each video description because each license will be different. Some are Creative Commons 3.0 Unported and free to use in anything with credit, but some are not.

ALSO, on each video it will denote the artist (either myself of my collaborator, J.C. Brickston) that way you know who to credit and link to. Thanks so much! Hope we will be able to give back to the community and help some people! Peace.
 
Yes definitely read the various creative commons (cc) licenses! Some videos will allow you to monitize and some wont.

Soundcloud.com
Incomptech.com
Freemusicarchive.com

I personally like soundcloud just because its supposed to be thr youtube of audio. Its just harder to find which tracks are cc and which arent. Artists I personally like in soundcloud that are mostly cc are starlit everglades and aether.

Also look in the description bar for music credits. People who credit correctly for cc can point you to great cc artists.
