Need help with procrastination!

Hey guys, so today, procrastination effected the nice schedule I had going on.

Normally, I would record a video on the Monday and Friday, so I could upload them the next day.

I have no trouble at all with Video Ideas, I have loads of them in a folder, but when I come to choose which one to do, procrastination kicks in.

I know, we all procrastinate at some point etc etc, but it literally plagues my life, haha!

So after finally choosing an idea, I'd start writing the script. Nothing professional, just what I would imagine to fit together and be an entertaining video, then record it and edit it together at the same time to see how it's going etc.

But today, I don't know what happened.

I convinced myself that instead of recording a video, I could just write loads of scripts to all my ideas instead, so that way I'd be more efficient in future. (You know, for the long run.)

However, that's not the only problem.
Not only have I abandoned my schedule for a day, but I'm also left with no scripts either!
I literally prioritized 'doing nothing' over doing what I intended on doing. and I seem to be doing this all the time in my life and believe I have some kind of problem rather than just lack of motivation.

Sorry for the long read, but any ideas on how to counteract this and change my life forever?

What do you do to keep yourself active?

I FEEL THIS. And basically I have to kick my own a** into gear, I reprimand myself "YOU ARE DOING IT AGAIN BUTT MUNCH KICK IT IN TO GEAR" Do I still procrastinate? Yes. ESPECIALLY on collabs. I don't get it. Doing my own videos I can get done pretty well. But I keep putting collabs off for some reason. It's as if I... worry myself out of them or soemthing. I just... I don't have an answer for you, other than I totally understand this.

Oh man, I know exactly how you feel. My life is full of stuff I should be doing. And in theory I have more than enough time. But hours seem to slip by without much of anything happening these days and I find myself getting really frustrated about it. I don't really know how to get past it either tbh. You just have to keep pushing yourself to get stuff done. That or you wait til you have a sudden burst of creativity. But that's not very reliable and you ain't gonna get as many subs if you aren't putting stuff out regular, unless you make god-tier videos.

Glad I'm not the only one that feels it, haha!

The only thing I've learned that helps is realizing that you can't wait till you FEEL like doing it. And once your force yourself to get started while you're NOT feeling like doing it, you wind up getting lost in it after you get passed the initial hump. Do I do this every day all the time now? nope. But enough I'm barely scraping by.

I don't know if that will fix it, but first let me tell you that there is no cure to procrastination, you gotta get through it yourself.I myself have been procrastinating quite a lot, one day i even didn't do my homeworks before i felt like doing nothing. After that i thought of a plan to kill procrastination.

1.Make schedule, if you make one without single plot left, and do it each day you will soon forget about procrastinating, but it don't help many people , they say it's not effective. But it's lie, just do this make schedule and punish yourself when you can't meet up your schedule , but reward when you do make in time with your schedule.Like if you fail to do something, don't eat sweet things for week or so, if you meet schedule eat 1 gummy bear and so on. Think of things that you like to do the most of the food you like the most.

2.Whenever you feel like procrastinating, work, even if it's hard WORK your a$% off.First 2-3 weeks will be hard, but after you gone thru them, your body should have created that vice, that you will want to do that thing at that hour and so on.

3. Whenever feel like procrastinating, don't do something that's not productive as i said before.Read newspaper, start cycling anything..Watch motivational videos anything that gets you fired up!!.

P.S Let me remind you, if you don't fight within yourself and just slurk on the forums asking for help, that won't make procrastination dissapear , you need to fight too!

Well that's how i fight my procrastination.Hope i helped you:)
