Need help with Camera, Mics and Recording Software

..So, write now for my videos I am using a basic Kodak camera that creates a lot of clicking noise while I'm recording. Also, the sound quality of my videos are not as great as I would like. Any suggestions? Note, the type of performances on my channel would be better executed with great sound quality. As of now, I'm on a budget but plan in the following weeks to increase that budget for better quality.

ALSO (lolz) I don't want to use Windows live Moviemaker for future videos if and when I upgrade my equipment.

PS- I'm not interested in glamorizing my videos, I just want them to see me better and hear me better. Thanks!

I heard the Canon Powershot series is pretty good, not sure which model but their are youtube videos that talk about equipment. Someone will probably come along here though.

And as for recording software, I think you mean editing software? HitFilm 2 Express ($150) is free until Feb 4! Its more of a effects software (Like Adobe After Effects), but its good for the basic editing too!

There are some pretty cheap webcams that you can get (just till you get something better), that would be an upgrade to what you're using at the moment. As for a mic, you can always search Amazon for cheap lav mic and use that (again till you get something better). Use Audacity (free) to cancel out any background noise you don't want, and you can even tweak it to make your sound a bit sharper if you'd like.[DOUBLEPOST=1391382836,1391382761][/DOUBLEPOST]

I don't see why everyone is all giddy about HitFilm. I went and tried it, and I thought it was horrible. I mean, I got some good effects, and stock footage I'll still be using. Meh, just not for me I guess haha. I'll stick with After Effects, and Premiere xD

Its free right now... Well I guess its all free depending on your morals xD But I too lazy too.. It's still a upgrade from Movie Maker until you get Premiere or Vegas.

I know it's free, that doesn't make it good. However, I suppose you're right about it being an upgrade from WMM. However, you can't compare Premiere to Vegas, haha. Premiere just blows it out of the water, it's SOOOO good.

Thank you! I'll have to try that out :)[DOUBLEPOST=1391383655,1391383561][/DOUBLEPOST]

Audcaity? Sounds good. Is it able to enhance sound as well? I agree, my equipment is wack but I do plan to improve. Thank you for your help!
