Need advice on youtube and friends!

Its as everyone else is saying, I mean bad habits are hard to break but letting them know whats on your mind wont hurt one bit! It just depends on the conduct they take towards your reasoning, from there you can make the decision youre asking for - I wish you luck and hope everything turns out for the better though, losing friends is always hard no matter who or what they may be :)

Not sure you should be asking relatively random folks on the internet if you should ditch your real life friends. That's a decision you need to make for yourself. That being said, I don't see anything wrong with sacrificing partying in favor of working towards other goals.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced something similar after finishing high school :)

After I finished college, all of my friends that I had left from High School went to university (and are still there) but we're still good friends because we have other stuff in common, no matter the distance. The friends I ditched out of High School are mostly taking drugs and having babies, not a lot in common there.
You hang out with people you have stuff in common with, you're feeling like this because whilst you still like them as people, you're not the same person (and neither are they) that you were when you met.
I still say hi to my old friends in the street and if they invited me to hang out I'd be down for it but I don't have their numbers in my phone or go out of my way for them because they're not my core group now if that makes sense.
In case you're wondering if I'm super lonely, I have a group of Internet friends I guess who I skype twice a week and talk to all the time so I'm good :') (sorry this is long)

I would explain your priorities to them. If they are truly your friends they will understand. You have to do what makes you happy. Give it a 100%!

Over the past couple of months, I feel as if I have drifted away from my friends. I'm more concerned on working on getting ready for Army Basic Training and working on my youtube channel! They seem to more concerned with partying and "turning up".

Don't get me wrong, I used to enjoy going to parties on weekends, when I was still in high school. However, I didn't get "turnt". Now, I really don't like going to parties. Maybe I've matured, or maybe I just realized parties aren't my thing? Who knows.

So basically, I've been "ditching" my friends for youtube because I don't want to "turn up". Do you guys think it's time to find new friends? Or should I just let them know that I have other priorities than drinking and smoking?

What are your thoughts? It's been bugging me all morning.
It's time to get new friends, definitely. I know what that's like because people in my area are the same way. I'm just simply not interested in getting "turnt up" for anything or anyone. It's childish and moronic. If you can't hang out with them because all they do is "turnt up," they're not worth having in your life.

People grow apart.
That's just the way the world works.

People will develop different interests, hobbies and activities.
There will always come and go people in your life.
