Need Advice on the best option for my channel

ItsBecky

Internet Idiot who loves making people laugh
Hello,
I have been a regular user of youtube for over a year now (I started my account in 2008 and I used to post back then too but I stopped until about 2014)
I have over 700 subscribers now, and I am hoping to one day make youtube a career, that would be the dream!
My current goal is 1000 subscribers, anyway thats not what I wanted to ask.
Basically due to being a university student, and wanting to make youtube a career, I would like to earn money from youtube to help me with my studies etc. I know I will probably never get as big as zoella or someone like that.
But my question is I am considering joining a youtube network, the only problem is which is the best one to join?
I have researched quite a few and I can't seem to find any that don't have bad reviews and people claim to be scams.
A year ago I used to get quite a lot of views and comments, one of my videos has over 100k views from back then, now I get barely any and i'm only earning pennies from adsense, not enough to get me anywhere and my subscribers are also starting to drop. I also heard adsense can be disabled for invalid clicks or something and I want protection from that
My channel isnt one specific thing, I want to do reaction videos for game playthroughs and book readthroughs etc in the future, and I do vlogs, reviews, any kind of video that comes to mind really. But I know videos that include gameplay content need permission. How would I also go about doing that?
What would be the best network for a small channel like mine who does a bit of everything and would help me out with copyright, views and monentization etc?
What would be the best course of action for someone like me if I don't join a network, I know I may need to wait to be more popular but it is frustrating my channel being so slow when I want it to go somewhere! And I have so many ideas that I have realised would be so complicated, and if I did do them I wouldn't be able to monetenize them, and the whole point of my videos is 1. because I enjoy doing them and 2. To earn money off them, so not being able to monetenize it would just be pointless doing it!
Please can I have some advice! Thankyou!
Sorry this is so long, I just have so many questions to ask!

as I know Network not help you grow if you not famous like Zoella (network help manage her). but without network you can famous like zoella. How?
Zoella under Stylehaul Network

I you play video game with commentary is good (UnionofGamer aka Curse) don't play nintendo games.

1. You Video Topic
2. Good Tittle and Tag in Video
3. Connect with your fan/viewer
4. Try Tubestart, FameBit, Patreon for help you better (if you reach good subscribers (30-100k) or your content is good)
5. Learn (watch their video) Create (your video like your fav. yt) Share (to your social media).

what i need to know though is what network should i go with if I want to start doing game playthroughs, it would be more of a reaction to games as i would be commentating and also filming myself while playing?
What kind of videos could I make to grow enough to join a network and if I don't join one, is there a way to still earn a fair bit of money without joining one, and how would I go about doing gameplaythroughs etc.
I noticed most of the popular videos are fashion and beauty and even though I am a girl I am awful at both and wouldn't even know where to start with those kind of videos!
Like I said my channel I do videos on anything and everything, if one comes to mine I do a video on it, but a lot of the ideas I cannot do without not being able to monetenize it and I want to earn money so that isnt really an option, I just need help with my channel more then anything to make it more exciting and get me more subscribers, and I am just wondering what I could do to help with that
Also apparently zoella is with an agency called gleam futures I don't think she is with a network at all anymore if she ever was.
But thankyou for replying :)

Considering 99% of networks won't do anything to help smaller channels, it really doesn't matter which network you choose. You don't have to join a network to make money. You can just monetize with Adsense. The problem is that gaming videos tend to go under review and become unmonetizable for most people under Adsense because people can't prove that they have permission to monetize it. Being in a network gives people instant monetization, which is why most gamers join a network so they don't have to go through Adsense.

In my opinion, it is hard to get views doing "Let's Plays" for smaller channels. No one is willing to invest time watching a playthrough for someone they don't know and most bigger channels have already done "Let's Plays" for most games and people won't watch someone else play the same game again. I think the best option is to focus on very recent/new games or replayable games to have a chance. However, it's your channel and you can do whatever you want.

As for joining a network, if you had to join one, join the one that gives you the best split and don't lock yourself in for over 1 year.

Thats a really great help thankyou! So you're saying I should wait until i'm bigger to do lets plays? also I was planning on doing things like playing slender man rather then really big games that I just play all the way through, as I want it to be fun to watch.
I have only made about 2 pounds through youtube so far so I really want to come up with bigger ideas, but obviously some ideas I will need to either join a network to do or just not be able to earn money on it.
The worst thing is my most popular video, I was not able to monetenise as its been claimed by syco as i entered a competition with it, and I don't know how to get the copyright claim back off them so I am just going to have to leave it, unless someone knows what I can do about that?
