I am looking to buy a Video Camera that will cost around 1K. I dont know a whole lot about cameras but I am looking to get amazing quality and sound. I want to get a camera that can change lens and all the other good stuff. What is your advice and if you have a camera that you use and think will help me, maybe share one of your vids with me for a preview!

Thanks everyone!

I just use my 5mp Nokia Lumia Camera, quality is pretty good, I think you can use any camera but make sure the the quality is good, otherwise most of the people buy Canon Lumix cameras, they are cheap having good quality!

Can you give me the exact make and model of yours, so I can look it up.

Canon 70D does really good job with video for your price point. However the canon T5i has good video quality and it's less expensive than the 70D. Check the reviews on Amazon or B and H photo. Both are rated 4 1/5 out of 5 stars on Amazon.

If I was just starting out I would buy a T5i and a Rode video mic pro that slides on to of the camera. I would also get a solid lighting kit. Take into consideration that no matter what DSLR camera or camcorder you get the sound quality won't be that good.

In the end you're going to end up having to purchase an external microphone to go with it. A good choice is the Rode Video Mic Pro for something that plugs in the hotshoe (top of the camera). Whatever you do I wish you the best with your channel.

Dslr's are a good option because of interchangeable lens and they also double up as a great camera. But you don't really need an amazing camera because lighting and how your scene is set up is way more important. You could have a good camera that is high res but if you have poor lighting you will get grainy footage. Some people just you smartphones like the iPhone and that's good enough if used correctly. I have the canon 60d which is more than good enough for video. Lens are more important if you get a dslr.

I personally use the Canon 700d and i've been loving it, it's not too expensive (£500ish) and the video quality is great. The sound quality is good as well but I am probably gonna get a proper mic for it when I can.

T5i would be a good choice. The auto focus will help you to easily film yourself (plus a fast SD-Card, get at least a 45 mb/s to make sure that the camera doesn't stop recording by itself).
You of course need a tripod and a proper microphone. Your only video that is uploaded so far has big sound issues.
Check out the Rode VideoMic Pro.
In terms of light I suggest a Softbox but I also saw many Youtubers with those "light rings". Not sure what they are called.
Check out my Channel for a Softbox Review where you can see what difference good light does and what to be aware of.

Other than that I recommend you to move away from that wall, it's boring and looks ugly on video. Look for a space with a nice background.
With the DSLR and Kit Lens (you need a STM lens in case you want to use autofocus) you will be able to create at least a slightly blurry background.
Also make sure to inform yourself about "head room", but that's of course a different topic, just noticed it in aour video and thought of mentioning it since you said you want to create amazing looking videos.

Yeah I agree. If you got a powerful light on the wall and set the camera up right then the wall should "wash out" unless it is an off white, couldn't quite tell. Ring lights are good but can make you video look flat they really need to be used with other lights for best effect.
