Loving YTtalk
Hi there, my name is Taylor Hoffman, in case you have not met me before. I've been on YouTube for little over a week or so, and the banner I currently have is not as eye appealing or good on the eyes to begin with.
As you can see, my current banner is pretty generic and I really want something that looks amazing. I'm looking for something unique, something that stands out and gives the viewers a 'bigger' picture of what my channel is all about.
So I thought about the ideas and generalizations for a while and came to a conclusion of typical styles I have had in mind. I looked around some of my favorite YouTubers and people that inspire me to do the videos that I do.
Now Casey Neistat has his own interesting style as he took a piece of paper, wrote his name and then slapped a picture of him in black in white. It's a basic and very plain idea, which I like but I think there is a way that I could make this banner maybe even better. Perhaps specifically explain what my channel is about in a title and three simple words.
Vlogs, Reviews, Music.
I simply think that is the best way to go about it in a way, because having just my name and a picture of me doesn't tell the viewers that much, and just showing up on my channel page dose not help that much either.
So I was thinking of around the design that Casey has, but a bit more colorful (rainbow specifically) and explaining what I do along with it, Perhaps adding in a Picture of myself as well.
As for the logo, I was thinking maybe keeping the same style would be a rainbow colored Camera for my YouTube icon, and hopefully that keeps the branding to a simple medium that people would enjoy.
