Need a better mic

Ive been debating between the blue snowflake n the yeti...any advice on which one to get? any features or specs that make one stand out more than the other?

Dude Yeti FTW it is a much better mic but I guess the snowflake is cheaper.... It all depends if you have the money to spend!

the Snowflake sounds great enough already, more than enough for Lps, only get the blue yeti if you have cash to spare

I would get the Snowball instead of the Snowflake personally. But I have the Yeti it's just awesome!

The Yeti is an alright mic. Snowball and Snowflake are a waste of time. If you have reasonable audio perception you will want to upgrade much sooner with those.

This is incredibly rude and I apologize in advance, but it's also true. People who recommend the Snowball, do not know anything about microphone quality.

I have 3 other suggestions. Audio Technica AT2020, Samson C01U or Shure SM58. You can find the first 2 with a USB version. The Shure mic will require an audio interface as it's an XLR mic.

In my opinion, buying a microphone from a company who's only mic reputation is for podcasting is a mistake. Buy from companies who make real mics.

I bought the Yeti yesterday after hearing so much about it on these forums. It's easy enough to use, since you can just plug and start recording on audacity. The pro version has more jack options if you need that. The only thing I wish it was able to do was plug into my iphone for portable recording or my DSLR.
