ND Filters

Hey guys.
I'm planning to buy a cheap ND8 filter made of plexiglass on eBay.
I just wonder if it make the water cool using long exposure without letting to much light into the lens.
I will buy this filter in a few days when i get enough money on my paypal and then i just have to wait to the summer to try the filter so i would like to hear if someone of you used it

ND filters are great for long exposure photography, things like water, if done right, come out looking spectacular.
I would highly recommend using them

Well... Unless you also want a shallow depth of field, you could just close down your aperture...
