I Love YTtalk
Hey guys, so I've been on YouNow for the past 2 weeks, i started live streaming to bring traffic to my youtube and here I will share my experience to why live streaming is very much recomended for your youtube.

Okay so these few days I have neen trying to broadcast 6 days a week and my experience has been great!
if you want some loyal youtube subsribers live streaming is a good way to connect with people, find new audiences and make your relationship stronger with your viewers.

How to drive traffic to your youtube:

1-
Tell them about your youtube: on YouNow i found on days when i tell my viewers to go and check out my youtube they go and check it out and subscribe, view , like and comment. so always remind your viewers who you are and refere them to your youtube.

2- Broadcast regularly : with these few days, daily broadcasting gave me colser connection to my viewers and they start comming back everyday. These are the loyal ones that subscribe and view your youtube videos.

3- Connect your youtube account - younow has a fast was to make viewers subscribe to your youtube by a click of a button. when they click on your profile they just need to click the youtube icon and a subscribe button pops up.

4- broadcast your youtube filming/ behind the scenes: as an arts person, i decided to broadcast myself filming for my youtube art videos once a week, these videos people absolutly loved it! in the videos i mention that im filming for youtube, show them my behind the scenes and tell them when the video is out.

5- Post yout youtube video on Younow Profile : Yes, you can post your youtube video on your profile and all your fans will get a notification and you will get views.

Positive of younow:
-
New viewers
-Better relationship with viewers
-easy for viewers to find you on youtube
-can broadstream with two people at the same time
-good place for many content makers such as gamers, artists, musicians, vloggers
-you can block and report people very easily in your chat = less haters
-people are willing to watch 4 hour long broadcast (not kidding!!, ive done 4 hours)
-get levels, differnt levels have different features.
-trolls are very rare.

Negatives of younow:
- some tags have more viewers than others.
-most people on younow are very young so expect very young audience (young teens)
-people can be negative to older younowers because most are young teens (but you can block them)
-most people like you if you are pretty and young.

My youtube change:
I got few extra subscribers, few extra likes and views and coments, but i just started.
videos I posted on my profile, viewership increased.

I hope this article helped you, if you have any questions about my experience on younow, I'm here to share.

I totally agree that streaming is a great way to get more traffic to your YouTube channel. I wish I had the time to do both YouTube and streaming. But I just can't commit to both. With YouTube I can schedule out videos for the week if needed. Streaming I just can't commit to a schedule at this point in my life

I do a YouNow stream once a week usually and its great! I'd do more but I'd need more to talk about :') The only downside is people promoting their channels in YOUR live stream. eugh no thank you.

I've seen people promote their selves in other people's stream. And I read around the fourm and you can block the people who promote their own content on your stream.

For me my viewers give me topics to talk about. Such as they ask me questions about art equipment.
Sometimes I try to find something interesting to draw so I can talk about the thing I am drawing.
Such as I can draw something from a TV show I talk about that TV show.
I don't think I have ran out of things to say just because of the type of videos I make and the questions people give me. But I guess it's a good idea to make a small list of things you can talk about in awkward scielence moments.

So glad I am not the only one that is younowing here :)[DOUBLEPOST=1442553896,1442553784][/DOUBLEPOST]

Strangly I enjoyed steaming more than making YouTube videos. I guess that people can talk to me and I don't need to edit the videos. It takes less time for me and I get better results.

Younow used to be completely different. There was one broadcasting slot per 'room' and a queue (line of people waiting to broadcast). The person broadcasting would have to get enough thumbs up to stay on otherwise he'd get bumped for the next person in line. There used to be a ton of great singers of all ages and generally everyone had a good time...for awhile.

Eventually it got out of hand because 14 year old girls would routinely vote down really good singers on the singing channel (for example, but it happened on many channels) for younger, cuter guys who were much worse singers solely because they were young and cute. When I saw that beginning to happen over and over I just gave up on Younow. Came back a couple years later and it was more your typical cam website. I still like the old version better though.

Some guys/girls really did well starting on Younow and working their way to Youtube, so it definitely has value as far as that is concerned.

Good review. It is wise to look at other platforms for driving traffic to your YouTube channel. Relying on just YouTube is very limiting.

I dont really know about using YouNow... You have to make sure you look attractive if you are looking to drive people to your channel.

Good comment!
I don't exactly remember the old layout 100% but it sure was very different.
I think now the usage is more friendly and the community is slowly trying to be accepting to people with good talents and older audience. But the website is still ruled by 13-16 year olds.[DOUBLEPOST=1442858552,1442858518][/DOUBLEPOST]

That's the sad reality of everything. Politics, media, tv shows, YouTube, younow. You have to look attractive to gain a lot of views.

However there are many ways that you can gain views and not have to be attractive.

One of them is that you have to be like super talented, remember everyone's username and engage well with your audience.
