My videos have no searchable keywords

I Love YTtalk
Hi everyone. I tend to be on and off with this site but I'm always reading stuff.

So recently I changed my content because I noticed that I was making videos about specific topics just because they had keywords people were searching for. They weren't tentpole videos, just random stuff like other Youtubers' names in the title. I think my videos have gotten a lot better since I stopped doing this and I feel better about my content but now they don't have any keywords that people are searching for and I get practically no new viewers from search. In January I made a favorites video that was cool but not anything special and I got some views from search but way less than I usually do from subscribers.

Because I don't get a lot of new viewers anymore growth is pretty slow. Is there any way to fix this?

Can you give an example of NO searchable keywords? I can't imagine that what you're creating isn't searched by someone out there. I mean...I make a series about a cat puppet who gives self-esteem advice. People find that and they get viewed, so I'm thinking you're setting your bar maybe a little bit too high?

Don't water down your content for keywords. Just enter keywords that people would use if they were trying to find your videos. I really dislike the idea that everything has to be optimized for SEO. YouTube videos should be about things that interest us, not about figuring out ways of ending up at the top of a search results page.

using tags can help as well.

in the description box, add a summary in there of what you speak of so when people look certain stuff up, it'll come up!

I love your positivity! And how you can joke about your own content. Huge inspiration on the right kind of attitude to be successful here.

Hi all. I think the same as xingcat because it's ok that we learn how to SEO properly in a way that our videos can be found more easily, but there is a limit. I prefer using as a title something original, then the name of the game and the number part. I know that I could use some other keywords but then that won't be something mine anymore, I want to create everytime something that possibly it's only mine. The trick is doing 50/50, i mean both creating something original but also using some "searched keywords" and sometimes this is a struggle.
