My try at a complex Custom Thumbnail

This is my first try at a 'complex' YouTube thumbnail. This could also be a sneak peek, because this is going to be the thumbnail of the video going up next week.

It's got a watermark on it, obviously the big "DEAN" letters won't be on it :)

Massive note: The video itself will be comedic, the thumbnail is for 'shock value'. I have a disclaimer at the beginning of the video explaining that I'm not against religion. I really don't want to offend anyone with this.

What do you think?

I can imagine some people who are religious maybe finding it offensive but yeah its good, I actually like the Dean across it, consider it branding! It works well with it I think :D
 
It looks good but like was stated I don't like that it say religion change the word and its cool to me
 
I actually think the Dean would look better than the starburst/rays. It's different.
You might want to look at repositioning some of the elements to better utilize the space. When I shrink it down to thumbnail size, there is a lot of pink, which is basically wasted space.

I can;t change the word unfortunately, the video is going to be about religion.

I agree, be VERY careful with this idea! If you cannot change the word "religion" than at least change the stickguy shooting it with the automated machinegun, because that carries a strong message...

The video will be comedic, the thumbnail is just for 'shock value'. There's a 10 second disclaimer at the beginning of the video.
