My new youtube video has been under review for 12 hours :S

Usualy it got accepted strait away or in 10 mins, now for it to get monetized it is still under review from 12 hours from now. Why?????

BTW it is not copyright it is me speaking with my computer screen.
 
Wow it got back to me that it has illegal content in the video, how an earth is it illegal. There is no music, its my voice and it is me filming a computer screen :S
 
That might be to do with the fact that you don't own the rights to the program you used to choose a winner. Also are you sure the sound effects you used for the intro are royalty free?

sound effects are royalty free yes

not sure about website, lots of youtubers use it though
 
Have you actually accredited the source of the sound effects in the description, because you actually have to prove you have the rights to use the sounds. As for the website, do the other youtubers actually put adverts on those videos?
 
Yeah. One of mine lost monetization and the other one has been under review for almost a week. So stuff has been really hinky lately. I'm not sure what's up or why. What's funny is that today's video was monetized by YouTube mere minutes after I uploaded it.
 
Yeah, sometimes it takes just a few seconds. Sometimes it takes around a day or two. If you don't infringe copyright there's nothing to worry about :D
